We are finally able to hire a full-time registrar, after years of making do
with a part-time position.  This is an active, forward-moving organization

REGISTRAR:  The Culture and Heritage Museums, which operates three museum
facilities in York County, SC, seeks a full-time registrar. Duties include
organizing and maintaining central records of all CHC permanent collections
and collections on loan; registering and assigning accession numbers to the
collection; documenting incoming and outgoing loans; writing condition
reports; maintaining the collections database; producing reports for staff
and administration. Candidates should be able to lift and carry artifacts
and supplies as needed; be skilled in database management; be able to work
independently on a variety of projects at once; be detail oriented and
skilled in keeping complete, accurate and organized records; have good
written, oral and interpersonal skills. The registrar works closely with and
reports to the collections manager. The position requires a BA; previous
museum registration experience is preferred. Application deadline is July
