Monday, November 4, 2002, Historic New Orleans Collection, New Orleans, LA
from 9 am - 4 pm.

This full-day workshop discusses risk management techniques for libraries
and cultural collections. Through lecture, discussion, and break-out
sessions, the following topics will be highlighted: determining value of
collections, types of property insurance coverage, insuring specific
materials, choosing an insurance agent, and getting an appraisal.

The instructor for this workshop is Jeanne Drewes, Assistant Director for
Access and Preservation, Michigan State University Libraries.

Cost is $105 SOLINET members ($95 early bird, $125 late registration),
$145 Non-members ($135 early bird, $165 late registration). Any
institution in Louisiana qualifies for the member rate.
