Have you checked out the Connecticut Humanities Council’s Heritage Resource Center (HRC) Web site?

Located on the Web at www.ctculture.org/hrc, the site is designed to connect directors, staff, and board members with current thinking and discussion on the most important issues affecting museums, historical societies, arts agencies, and other non-profit cultural organizations today.

The HRC includes reviews of new books and articles, recommendations on the most useful Web sites and blogs, and a variety of reports, surveys, and tools all organized around eight core subject areas. Content is carefully chosen by an advisory committee of some of Connecticut’s leading museum practitioners to help institutions adapt and respond to the unprecedented challenges facing organizations of every size today. And, while the HRC was specifically designed for Connecticut institutions, its readings and resources can benefit organizations nationwide.

First, explore lists of “must reads” for each of the site’s eight core subject areas. Then, dig deeper and visit the Community Center blog—an ever-expanding set of resources discussing what is affecting the heritage and art world today.

Like what you see? Stay current on newly posted content through the HRC’s RSS feed, monthly Spotlight e-newsletter, weekly e-mail updates with Feedburner, and the CHC Heritage Resource Center page on Facebook.

Check out the HRC Web site today at www.ctculture.org/hrc!

The Heritage Resource Center is a program of the Connecticut Humanities Council and is made possible in part with major support from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism. Additional support is provided by The State of Connecticut, The National Endowment for the Humanities and The Maximillian E. & Marion O. Hoffman Foundation.
