You are right!
Many years ago, back in the late 1970s? or was it the early 1980s? ....
I had lunch with Bob Chenhall and we discussed a variety of subjects.
One of those subjects was, "How to add artifacts in the future (that
haven't been invented yet or for that matter -- even dreamt-up).
Bob stressed that the "Nomenclature" should never be considered as
complete (i.e. written in stone).  In fact, he casually mentioned that
you can do whatever you want with it, as long as you were intellectually
consistent.
BTW... the rest of the lunch we didn't talk at all about museum stuff!
It was an interesting lunch (maybe because we didn't talk "shop").

I don't ever believe that Nomenclature is complete nor is it written in
stone. So, like Television it needs to be added to the list. To make it
more flexible we added it as "recorder" under visual communication T&E.
By leaving it general in the future DVR and any other new recording
technology will be covered.
