Hello!  Chantel Cummings has sent the following Jacksonville.com story to you.

CUMMER CURATOR IS FIRED

Three days after he wrote a letter expressing doubts about the authenticity of the sculptures in a highly touted exhibit scheduled to come to The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens this summer, Robert Torchia was abruptly fired as curator.

Torchia said Cummer director Kahren J. Arbitman fired him Sunday night in a phone call in which she also told him he was banned from the Cummer premises. Torchia was to have left the Cummer anyway at the end of next week.
