The Don Harrington Disovery Center in Amarillo, Texas is seeking applicants
for the newly created position of Director of Education and Visitor
Services.

Responsibilities of this position will include:
        *       Daily management of education staff of approximately 20
full and part-time staff.
        *       Development of all education programming, outreach,
demonstrations, and public programs.
        *       Management of all programs and the logistics and details
thereof.
        *       Injecting creativity and uniqueness into all aspects of
programming.
        *       Supervision of all floor activities and floor staff.
        *       Working closely with other departments to insure all
collateral materials are prepared.

Qualifications for this position include:
        *       Bachelor's Degree in Education, Recreation or related
field.  Master's prefered.
        *       Three to five years previous experience in museums,
national or state parks, or other informal learning centers.
        *       Cheerful disposition and ability to deal with staff, board,
and clients in a charming manner.
