Preservation Maryland Colleagues Workshop

"Match making:" An Insider's Guide to Matching Grant Funds

Friday, September 15, 2006
10:00 - 3:00
Carroll Museums
Baltimore, MD

You have a project. You need money. Who doesn't? In the world of
nonprofits, writing successful grants can be the difference between the
successful implementation of an exhibit or program this year, or having
to wait. For the people sorting through dozens of worthwhile projects,
the budget can be the deciding factor, and within the budget is the
critical aspect of the "Matching funds." This single column in your
budget can be both daunting and confusing...but it doesn't have to be!
Join members of the Maryland Museum Assistance Program Review Panel, as
well as grant-makers from a variety of public and private agencies, to
get the inside scoop on the different kinds of matching funds, an
explanation of how to evaluate in-kind donations (and what are those,
anyway?), and what makes one grant stand out from the rest in the review
process. This hands-on, interactive, full-day workshop is a must for
any organization that uses grant-funding to help fund their operations
or programs.

Lunch will be provided

$25 - Members of the Preservation Maryland Colleagues Program
$50 - Non-Colleagues Members
