Manages the "How Things Fly" exhibition gallery of the National Air and
Space Museum. Manages the operation of the major exhibition--overseeing
all museum education programs and activities, including administrative
details regarding personnel, budget resources, and grant proposals.
Serves as the technical authority on aeronautics education and reviews
publications, programs, and materials to ensure that content is
appropriate and accurate. Develops and implements education programs and
demostrations for the gallery to meet the overall objectives of the
Education Unit. Works with the Exhibit Division to ensure safe operation
of computer interactive devices in gallery, reporting on or repairing
faulty devices, and evaluating and recommending modifications of
devices.

 1. Knowledge of the principles of aeronautics
 2. Skill in teaching science education concepts to audiences in an informal
setting (i.e. science center or museum)
 3. Skill in designing, developing, and evaluating interactive, mechanical
devices, such as those used in science centers.
