Dear Museumlites,

I wonder about the museum experiences concerning the use of PDF files for
publishing at discs or the Internet.

Libraries are beginning to index digital editions as worth as those
actually printed, even with the URLs cited when appropriate. Hypothetical
exhibition's publication, aside from the more uniform catalog, can be
published as the Portable Document Format separately for kids, students,
enthusiasts, retirees, with their affections and interests aimed at
length. Hardly it can be afforded is the conventional, printed way. Such
edition is not bounded, but could reach some printer-enabled people to
meet their more peculiar demands fulfilled. And PDF beats out HTLM for
better graphic performance (reproducing exact fonts and pictures in the
same file), readily including URLs for updates.

Any comment?
