quite easy in many instances.  You can check out an
organization's 990 through Guidestar:

You can also do some additional statistical research
on this here:

http://www.form990.org/

Don't know what a 990 is?  Most don't unless you're
involved with the mechanics of a nonprofit.  Start
with this informative site:

Who knows, maybe someday you'll be an Executive
Director and will need to know these requirements for
your own organization!
