Whether you decide to go with chrome plated mesh shelving, or good-old
metal, shelving for standard size record boxes are readily available through
most office supply companies. Be sure to check out what each company
considers a "standard size" record box, and the weight bearing capacity, no
matter where or what you buy. Once you figure out what size shelves you
need, a big cost saver is buying used/reconditioned shelving, or government
surplus. You should be able to find dealers on the web fairly easily, but
you might ask around for a more local supplier (you save even more money if
you pick the shelving up yourself.) It may not be pretty, but it gets the
job done.
