I suggest that you check with The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation

Subject: Historical Societies and historic preservation

Hello Everyone! My question relates to those in historical societies that DO
NOT have a specific department or employee dedicated to historic
preservation. Do any of your historical societies advocate historic
preservation in your community and how? Do you implement programs or
exhibits, work with or provide internships for historic preservation
students, or make public statements regarding preservation of historic
buildings publicly though you do not have a preservationist on staff? We are
in the process of completing our long-range plan. We actually have a
"Preservation Committee" that is not active. If you do, could you respond
back to the list? Thanks.
