Be sure to get a copy of Time Out --- best (and critical) guide to NYC
happenings;
Use it to plan an afternoon walking around the Chelsea gallery scene.

Dont be afraid of downtown/avat garde theater

check out Ludlow Street and alphabet city at night --- great cheap meals
(Mexican) The Hat, or Tres Aztecas

Hi List,

I realize this question could have endless answers, but I had to ask the
experts! My husband & I will be spending a week in the City (for New
Years!), and then we have another week to travel around. Besides the
OBVIOUS choices (Met, MOMA, etc.), what "hidden treasures" of the city are
on your "don't miss" list?

I'd also love to know of other recommended stops within driving distance for
our subsequent week. Ok, go crazy!

Thanks in advance,

Robyne
