I fully concur with recommendations by the other conservators who have
responded. I would also recommend monitoring the temperature and RH in
the vault for at least a one year period. There could very likely be
some mold or mildew growth that could be eliminated by lowering the RH.
The use of a dehumidifier may help. Dryer conditions in the vault would
also decrease chemical deterioration of the paper collections.
