We are entirely self supported so we have long charged for school groups to
visit the ship. Like other sites, it's a discounted rate and one adult gets in free
for every 10 students. We have large classes, even grades, visit the ship on
field trips in the spring. We don't have guided tours, so they just visit the ship
like anyone else.

We started to offer hands-on interactive program for school groups and had to
limit the size to 25 or so per group. We did that for a few years and now we
have started charging for the education program. Teachers sure seem to
understand! We set a flat fee of $50 per program, which lasts about 30-45
minutes and the kids get a take-home project. We limit each group to 29
students.
