I find the NY Times site a pleasant early a.m. "read" and in five or six
years, have never received any junk attributable to subscribing. I wonder
what all the fuss is about? Each day there is something useful about the
arts, culture, books, travel, and @#*the stock market*@#&

When I subscribed, only my e-mail address & a password was needed. It still
works. They haven't asked for anything else.

I wonder if one day the Times won't charge for access to its stories.
