For a PC version of this, try AutoShutdown, made by Barefoot Productions
(http://www.barefootinc.com/).  It can be set to perform a variety of
actions automatically, including logging off and shutting down.  We've been
using it on our one gallery computer for several years now, and have found
it to be very satisfactory.
