Lauren,

Don't know if this will help or not, but for many years, the now-deceased
publisher of "MAD" magazine, William Gaines, was really into the Statue of
Liberty, and he spent a lot of time and money collecting any Bartholdi
models of the statue.  Though he has passed on, his widow continued to work
for the magazine, though I don't know if she does currently.  You might want
to contact the magazine and find out what has happened to his Bartholdi
models of the statue.
