Public Knowledge, one of the main organizations lobbying for Orphan
Works legislation, has written an extensive blog post about the status
of the bill: http://www.publicknowledge.org/node/1783

For an opposite opinion, see the Illustrator's Partnership Orphan
Works blog: http://ipaorphanworks.blogspot.com

My personal opinion is that we do need Orphan Works legislation, but
it's a complicated issue and there are valid points on both sides.
