I'm coming in late to this discussion so if this is duplicate info, my
apologies.  You would either leave out the salutation or put Attention:
Executive Assistant Search or Attention:  Human Resources Department.  For
the first line of your letter, reference the job and where you found the
listing.

"Please accept my application for the position of Curator, which was
advertised in -------"
