experienced museum professional to oversee the departments of Rgistration,
Conservation, Collections Information and Access, and the Library. The
Director of Collections leads the institution-wide effort to coordinate and
centralize information on the collection and develops and implements
strategies to encourage access to collections information within the Museum
and to a wide variety of external audiences through academic collaborations,
educational programs, and new technologies. Reporting to the Deputy
Director, the Director of Collections is a member of the senior management
staff, one of three senior management posts in the Curatorial Division, and
a key liaison between curators and program staff. Five to eight years of

methodologies, and a thorough knowledge of collections information
management systems and procedures is required. Experience with modern and

outstanding management and supervisory skills and be able to motivate
professional staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. An
