We had a thread about reproductions in museums on the list
some time before Christmas where I think just about everyone
put in their $.02. I don't recall the exact dates or whether
it was archived anywhere, though. Ralph Appelbaum Associates
takes great pains to used "authentic" material in their
exhibit designs because people seem to want contact with
the real. But, then again, they also seem to want to see
Mickey Mouse dressed up as George Washington in Virginia, too.
