Dear Phyllis - I don't know if any of us can help you out, but I informed
the calligraphy list I belong to that you were looking for the above
information. A number of them are quite involved in scholarly and
technical research on some of the peripheral interests of calligraphers,
including paleography, papermaking, bookbinding, and the study of pigments
and media. I hope you don't mind my asking them for you. I'd also be
interested to know what you will be doing with the information. I had a
student quite a few years ago, a Mormon, who was quite interested in some
of the Mayan manuscripts and was working on a project for herself in a
similar style.

Sincerely yours,
Anne
