Hi Molly,

I found small plexi cubes (small dice sized) at a plastics store. We then adhered vinyl numbers on. This cube could then be sat on a shelf or adhered to a wall in any orientation.

There is initial labor in manually sticking on the numbers, but the system was extremely flexible and slick.

Best,

Karen

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Object labeling pins for cases and shelves

Dear all,

We are looking for new options for object numbering in cases. Right

now, we have a pin system, which we are hoping to replace, but we are

also looking for something that would simply sit on a shelf or in a

case (in situations where pinning is not an option). We are

envisioning a sort of cube, or tiny die, with numbers that go into

double digits. We need it to be possible to position them so they can

be viewed from above in some instances, and from the side in others.

So far, we've had no luck finding either something prefab or a vendor

who is willing to make them. We would love to hear what you are using.

If you like what you have, please send a photo, if possible.

Many thanks!

Molly Balikov
