I know of one recent publication on the artist:

Seibels, Cynthia.  1995.  The Sunny South: The Life and Art of William
Aiken Walker.  Spartanburg, SC:  Saraland Press.  ISBN 0-9632836-1-8

We have examined and analyzed a number of works signed Walker and would
be interested in knowing of other technical studies.
