Hello all,

Can anybody tell me what "dog tags" (identity discs) are made out of. I
know that most of them are made from aluminium, but during WWII some were
made, in Australia at least, from what is referred to as "Pressed Fibre".
They tend to be red-brown, thin, and the consistency of a very stiff
cardboard. What is the fibre?

Thanks in anticipation
