Hi list,

We're tryinig to figure out the best way to code artifact locations for a new building.  Usually, each room has its own number, however, in the new building, there is a huge interior space with no fixed walls.  The themes represented in the gallery have cases and display panels that are not necessarily grouped in discrete areas (you can't draw nice squares around them, which is frustrating our registrar).  It is also likely that the themes and display cases will change over time. 

My question is this: would it be better to record artifact locations within each thematic area (drawing boundaries which may change), or to divide the space into a grid on which we could show actual physical location within the gallery?
