Assistant Coordinator
Technical Information Service (TIS), Museum Advancement & Excellence,
American Association of Museums

This is a key professional position which assesses the information needs of
museums, responds to member inquiries and reports on trends in the museum
profession, interacting on a daily basis with a wide variety of museums
nationwide.
The Assistant Coordinator joins an exciting team for Museum Advancement &
Excellence that works with the profession to provide museums the best and
most current information about operations and policy and contributes to
developing new information services and products.
Candidates must have an interest and work experience in museums, effective
oral and written communication skills, analytic and organizational skills,
expertise in Microsoft Office, Access, knowledge of the WWW and desktop
publishing. Requires a BA and 3-5 years museum experience as well as a an
understanding of current museum standards, issues and trends, enthusiasm for
museums, customer service and the practice of confidentiality. MA may
substitute for one year of experience. Send resume and cover letter by
