Peter,

Just a short note, I do not have much of a choice in terms of how long messages
are archived. Much is dependent upon the resources of the Univeristy of New
Mexico where I am a student.

This may be a good time to bring this up, as the list has grown, many are
wanting some extra services. I am going to bring this up with the powers that
be and see if we can't setup archives for a longer period of time, or perhaps
grouped by subject. There is also the possibility of setting up an FTP site at
either UNM or at Smithsonian.

Also, if anyone (hint, hint) is interested, I could use an extra hand on this.
I try to keep a hands-off approach to managing the list in order to encourage
discussion of a broad number of subjects. I do have a few things I must do to
maintain the list (and my sanity), but many of you are never aware of it.

Please let me know what services you would like to see offered, and I will see
what needs to be done to make them available.
