Hello everyone,

Does anyone have references to articles or studies that look specifically at issues related to hand-held visitor maps in Spanish? I'm familiar with most of the wayfinding and orientation literature as it relates to maps, but we're making modifications to our map in Spanish and I wondered about specific considerations for a Spanish-speaking audience. The entire map would be in Spanish.

My very basic questions:
1. Are there ways to graphically present the information that would be more useful for a Spanish-speaking audience?
2. Are certain kinds of information more important to include in maps for the Spanish-speaking audience?

I'm basically wondering about any culturally-relevant information about map usage for this group. If you have any feedback or thoughts about maps in Spanish I'd love to hear about them.
