Hello,

Some months ago I received a call from a local woman looking to donate a
record collection to our museum. As they were not Edison records I was
unable to accept them, but she asked if I would help her find a good home
for them. She claims that they include recordings her father, an amateur
musician, made with Billie Holiday and that some have never been released to
the public. (I have no reason to doubt her, I've just learned to be
skeptical about such things.)

I have contacted several music libraries and museums and the responses were
either "thanks, but no thanks" or I was completely ignored. It seems that it
might be more efficient to do it this way and reach a lot of people at once.

If you are interested, feel free to contact me off-list and I'll give you
more information about the items in question.

Thanks,

Kristen Lutes
