Dave,

I can't speak to the products, but one word of caution. Be sure to set
up the contract in such a way as to minimize security problems. When
our University switched to contracted custodial services we lost a
faithful custodian who felt 'ownership' and really helped look out for
things, and began having all sorts of problems. We finally had to
insist that they clean while staff was on duty rather than at night as
they did everywhere else. (I stayed at night if they had to do floors
that couldn't be done when people were there.)

Some of our specific problems included: continual changes of personnel,
including frequent substitutes requiring constant retraining; theft when
the cleaning company's contract was not renewed; and with the next
company a night floor waxing crew that found it humorous to decorate
certain body parts of unclothed mannequins.

Obviously I'm not a fan of contracted custodial work. A museum needs
someone loyal and careful who feels part of the 'team'.
