Quality Assurance Specialist

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to be responsible for the oversight and execution of the review and testing of work products done for the Museum, (especially the Museum's Internet and intranet websites), to insure compliance with functional specifications and documented standards developed and maintained by the Quality Assurance Specialist.

Primary responsibilities and duties include developing and maintaining quality assurance standards for web environment and development; coordinating and scheduling testing activities with web development and systems support groups; developing plans and scripts to test web enhancements against functional specifications; conducting testing activities in accordance with test plans; participating in web development and web systems project planning and execution to insure quality assurance standards are met; and other related duties

Successful candidates will possess 1-3 years of experience in a technical test environment You should have experience developing and executing manual test plans; experience with automated testing tools; experience developing software test cases and plans; experience working with multi-tier Internet applications; good familiarity with Microsoft tools; strong communication (verbal and written), analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent attention to detail and follow-up; self motivation with strong initiative; and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. Recent experience using Visual Source Safe, preferred.  Experience with SQL and data querying skills, preferred.  BS or BA in computer related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience, required.
