DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

The Washington State Historical Society (WSHS) is seeking a well qualified and
dynamic individual who is interested in directing and managing the operations
of the development and marketing departments.  The Director of Institutional
Advancement is a senior level management position and reports directly to the
Executive Director of the Society.  The organization is looking for someone
who can provide vision and leadership to an institution that is growing
rapidly and that aspires to develop a stronger community image and become more
donor centered.  Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership
skills and have a proven record in fundraising including soliciting major
gifts, managing membership programs, grant writing, special events, and will
have a good grasp of marketing as it relates to the fundraising process.
