Dear Listers,

The job announcements are fine on our list.  If you are not looking for work
but are a museum administrator, they are helpful regarding their format,
salary postings, and getting an idea of how different museums approach
staffing.    If you are looking for work, it's another resource.

But NO to resume postings and personal advertisements.   They don't work,
anyway. It's better for the job seekers if they respond off-list to the
museums who actually have jobs posted.  The job seekers are better advised to
tailor their resumes and responses to the needs of the position open.
