Five Civilized Tribes Museum
Muskogee, Oklahoma

Five Civilized Tribes Museum and the Center for the Study
of Indian Territory, Muskogee, Oklahoma, is seeking an Executive
Director. 5CTM is a museum dedicated to the history and preservation
of the cultures of the Five Civilized Tribes (Cherokee, Chickasaw,
Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole), and the study of Indian Territory.
The Museum is presently committed to a capital campaign to construct
an exciting 38-acre Center with currently approved architectural
plans. Qualifications include a B.S. or B.A. in history, anthropology,
museum studies, or related fields, a minimum of 3 years museum
experience, grant writing, fund raising, educational programming,
and public relations skills, and the ability to direct and train
3 full-time and 3 part-time employees and numerous volunteers.
The Director will be challenged to create an exciting, educational,
and unique institution to tell the fascinating "tragedy to
triumph" story of indigenous tribes in Indian Territory. Salary
