Dear Vince,

The are many things to be said about designing a database. First of all, you
should determine the purpouse of that database. Depending of these, you can
start determining the structure of your database (tables, fields,
relationships). Of course, nothing its perfect from the begining, so finally
you should refine your database. Besides, you should use pivot tables - I
believe they are the key to a succesfull database desing process. I am using
Microsoft Access. Currently I am building a database for our large type
collection (soon it will be ready), so if you encounter any problem in
designing your database, please feel free to contact me.
