Executive Director.  Explora Science Center & Children's Museum of Albu-
querque seeks a dynamic leader for its new 45,000 sq. ft. facility, opening
summer 2001.  Explora is dedicated to hands-on learning in science,
technology, art and culture in a multicultural environment.  The facility
is being constructed by the City of Albuquerque adjacent to other major
museums in Albuquerque's Old Town tourism center. Projected annual
operating budget $2 million with about 30 employees. Explora is a public-
private partnership operated by a non-profit board of directors to which
the Executive Director will report.  Candidates must have at least five
years of successful experience in senior management in comparable
institution. Experience as director is preferred, as is demonstrated
ability to work in a multicultural setting.  The Executive Director has
overall responsibility for strategic planning and programming, fund
raising, fiscal and human resources management, marketing, board
development, and outreach to a diverse community.  Excellent oral and
written communication skills required.  Bachelor's degree required and
advanced degree preferred.   Salary and benefits commensurate with
