Senior Historian
Cincinnati Museum Center

Responsibilities:  Serve as senior staff member in planning and developing
history exhibits.  Conduct primary and secondary research for exhibits,
programs, publications.  Teach history classes on variety of Cincinnati
history topics for general public, members, volunteers, staff and
students.  Advise collections staff on merits of items being offered as
well as developing active collecting goals.  Work with advisory and
community groups.

Qualifications:  MA minimum, PhD preferred in American history.  Urban
history work in Cincinnati history preferred but not required.  At least
five years experience as a historian.  Preferred candidate should have
experience on group projects as member or team leader and have the ability
to manage several projects at one time.  Writing and research skills are
essential, experience in exhibit planning and development a plus.
Requires effective communication skills and public speaking experience.
