Greetings,

I am currently working with the University of Oregon Museum of Art
exploring ways to satisfy directives associated with an endowment and
archive. The museum was given a particular artist's body of work and a
significant endowment for the purpose of promoting the understanding,
recognition and enhancement of the reputation and stature of this artist.
Directives associated with that are to publish several
books and mount several travelling exhibitions, as well as gifting several
named works of art to several named museums. Many ideas have been suggested
to get the ball moving toward satisfying the directives, but only a few have
been executed.

If anyone has had experience with meeting directives of an endowment that
may not have been strictly within the mission of their institution I would
appreciate hearing about your experiences. Insight in this area will help us
with our future plans.

Thank you,

Tina Rinaldi
