As we renovate the Cranbrook Instititue of Science, a natural history,
cultural history and science museum, we discover a time when our exhibition
halls will be complete and our new exhibits not yet constructed. This is
happening because we have speeded up the construction schedule in order to
save on the construction costs and have not accelerated our exhibition plans.

So we are looking for exhibitions that we affectionately refer to as
"plugs". These can be retired exhibitions, exhibition pieces in storage,
exhibitions available for rent for longer than three months, exhibitions
for outright purchase, those things that we can adopt and adapt or even
those that we can build from plans. Or perhaps, you need a venue to try
out your new ideas.

Our galleries are about 1,800-2,000 square feet, the plugs start in
January. At the height of our plugs program we will have 3 galleries
available simultaneously. They each will come on-line at various times and
last between 5-9 months on our floor. We would consider a large exhibition
that we opened in pieces, exhibitions that were related by theme and
individual unrelated exhibitions.

The exhibitions (parts or whole) can be on any of our subjects, should
appeal to a family audience and if possible have interactive elements. But
if you have anything that might fit, try us, at this point we are open to
any idea.
