SGML - Standard Generalized Markup Language, a generic language for
representing documents

SGML is loosely related to HyperText Markup Language (HTML), which is the
standard language used by World Wide Web (WWW) servers and clients to
create and recognize hypermedia documents.

For more information, you could get a copy of 'Entering the World Wide
Web: A Guide to Cyberspace,' by Kevin Hughes, Honolulu Community College,
October 1993. The document lists the following contacts - Kevin's e-mail -
