The Tech Museum of Innovation
Position Available
Membership Assistant

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.

The Membership Assistant is responsible for providing administrative
support for Membership functions, including data entry, processing Member
benefits, and handling Membership inquiries. The Membership Assistant is a
full-time, exempt position reporting to the Membership and Campaign Manager.  


RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be knowledgeable of The Tech's mission, exhibits, programs and long-range
plans and stay current with the functioning of the entire institution.
· Perform a variety of database functions, including:
        -Adding or updating donor/prospect records
        -Data entry of memberships and gifts
        -Data entry of codes or activities relating to members and donors
        -Creating reports
        -Extracting data for invitations, newsletter mailings or list exchanges
with other nonprofit organizations
· Assist in processing Membership cards and benefits.
· Assist in processing Membership renewal notices.
· Handle telephone inquiries about Membership.
· Provide miscellaneous administrative support, such as filing.
· Assist with Membership events and other Development functions.
· Perform other duties helpful to Development Office.
· Work as Museum Manager or Assistant Museum Manager on assigned weekend
days and holiday.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
· Excellent computer skills including Windows, database, word processing
and spreadsheet are required. Experience with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge,
Word and Excel is desirable.
· Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented.
· Ability to learn database and other software programs quickly.
· Ability to work with highly confidential information in a fast-paced
environment. 
· Experience in a nonprofit Membership or development office is preferable.
· Ability to work independently and creatively while functioning as part of
the development and overall Museum team.
· Willingness to work on occasional weekend days and evenings.
· A helpful and willing attitude.
