Jerry,
If you want really invisible flawless seams I would recommend using a
polymiserable cement such as Weldon 40. You need to create an angled void
between the two pieces, fill the void with the cement and then machine,
sand, and polish the rough side...It's kind of tricky as you need to allow
for shrinkage among other things.  If you insist on a solvent seam, I would
recommend using a slower setting solvent such as Weldon 5. The liquid will
"creep" better than the quick setting stuff, and they are a bit more
forgiving especially if you are doing a big piece. The down side is that it
takes a while to set up so you need to rig up a jig...well worth it if you
