Thank you Adrienne for bringing this up.  I grew up in San Jose, my
grandmother lived just down the street from the Rosicrucian and I went to the
middle school and high school in that neighborhood.  Often as a child my
grandmother would walk us to see the mummies and "real facsimile" tomb and
both on the way there and back we'd walk through the municipal rose gardens
reading the names of all the different flowers.  All of this, combined with
an early impressionable trip to see the King Tut tour in San Francisco
probably explains my love of museums and my older brother's love of all
things Egyptian.
