The Illinois State Museum has used its decorative art collections to
explore social history themes about home and family life and about making
choices in the long-term exhibit "At Home in the Heartland." Much of the
content of the physical exhibit has recently been incorporated into an
on-line exhibit and curriculum resource. You can access this exhibit at
http://www.museum.state.il.us/exhibits/athome/welcome.htm. We've gotten
very good feedback on the site and hope that more people will check it out.
Questions and comments can be addressed to me as I have served as project
director on both projects.

Curator of Decorative Arts
