Hi Lynn,

It depends on what kind of materials you want to digitize. We digitize the negatives of a photographic collection and have a wide range of materials from plastic to glass. For this kind of materials the dmax factor is important as it refers to the density of the materials. What is also important is the holders for the material to scan and especially the speed of the scanner, from our experience it should be at least 100 mb/minute (16 Bit).

If you are interested in details please feel free to contact me via pm.

Best regards,
Werner Schweibenz
