1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking experienced designers with
excellent management and communication skills for the position of Senior
Graphics Design Manager.  The Senior Graphics Design Manager plans, directs,
and coordinates all activities in the Graphics Design department, assuring
the highest design standard and consistency in presentation.  This position
manages all Senior Graphics Designers, Graphics Designers, and Per Diem
Graphics Designers and is also responsible for providing creative guidance,
art direction, and delivery of all Graphics jobs.

Candidates must possess excellent design skills and a successful management
history, as well as the ability to design and manage projects, mentor and
manage staff, and coordinate workflow for Graphics area.  BA/BFA/MA
required, along with advanced computer skills in relevant software (Quark
XPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS Office.)

2.  The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking experienced candidates for the
position of Exhibition / Print Production Manager in the Design Department.
This position requires advanced computer skills in relevant software
(including Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office)
and related hardware, as well as advanced hands-on production skills
(mounting, cutting, model-making, digital scanning, laminating, etc.)
Candidates must be proficient on Mac and knowledgeable about cross-platform
functionality.  Other responsibilities will include mentoring and training
staff, resolving staff computer problems by partnering with the Museum’s
Information Systems and Technology Department, communicating complex
technical information to staff, and managing information to designers, other
members of the department, clients and senior management.  Beyond excellent
technical skills, the ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive and
willing to perform occasional evening or weekend work.  Applicants should
