Old Salem, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is also currently
reconstructing an 1823-era Log Church as a future interpretive site, and
will follow with restoration and interpretation of the 1861 Brick Church
(named St. Philips in 1913), the oldest standing African American church in
the state of North Carolina and its nearby burial ground.
