Greetings!
I'm seeking information on American antique lamps from the 20'-30's(?).
I've been unable to determine the correct name for these lamps.
Description: 12-16 in. ht. Approx. 6-8 in. diameter (cylindrical).

These are motion lamps - I believe operated by the heat generated by the
bulb.
The moving cylinder inside the lamp contains a graphic - usually Currier &
Ives style. As the cylinder rotates, the moire' pattern gives the illusion
of motion within the graphic. For example: waterfall - forest fire - or old
time locomotive.
Can anyone tell me the formal name for these lamps, or where to find
information about them?
Thanks to all,
